Supporting our local communities this Christmas

DKSH has a strong commitment to the local communities we operate in. This is an integral part of our business and a key component of our approach to sustainability.

We are delighted to share some of the Christmas related sustainability activities our colleagues across the Group have organized to support our local communities and spread some festive cheer.

DKSH Malaysia

DKSH Malaysia teamed up with Famous Amos for the seventh year running and organized a sale of Christmas goodie bags exclusively for DKSH employees with all proceeds used to buy food and daily necessities for refugee families under the care of SUKA Society Malaysia. SUKA Society Malaysia is a non-governmental organization that protects refugee children and women. In just the first two hours of the sale, 1000 Christmas goodie bags were sold.

DKSH Singapore

DKSH Singapore entered into the Christmas spirit of giving and caring by taking part in the Boys Brigade's Share-a-Gift Project 2018 which benefits 42,000 people across 211 voluntary welfare organizations. Employees fulfilled 100 Christmas wishes by buying and donating a range of wished for gifts such as rice cookers, books, board games, shoes and clothing.

DKSH New Zealand

In New Zealand, around a hundred employees took part in a Christmas Box Challenge to win the much sought after local DKSH Challenge Cup. Each department created a brightly decorated Christmas box filled with delicious treats such as chocolate, snacks and drinks. The boxes were then given to the Salvation Army who donated them to ten local deserving families.

DKSH Taiwan

For the eighth year running, our colleagues in Taiwan worked with the Chinese Christian Relief Association on the Christmas shoebox initiative, providing gifts to children from local economically disadvantaged families. Around 500 employees donated a total of 630 gifts such as educational toys and board games, sports goods and stationery. All the gifts were beautifully wrapped and included a personal Christmas message.

Well done and a big thank you to all who took part in these amazing initiatives. You have helped to support our local communities and to bring some happiness and joy to some of the people who need it most this Christmas. Happy Christmas from DKSH!
