Chemotaxis Assays

Introduction:

When performing chemotaxis assays, there are several chambers—each with different characteristics—that can be used. Most of them have drawbacks in use and practicability. To overcome these, ibidi has developed the µ-Slide Chemotaxis, which provides high quality microscopy, linear concentration gradients, support for long-term assays, and allows for the observation of fast and slowly migrating cells via video microscopy.

This webinar gives an overview of the detailed and defined analysis of the migration behaviour of various cell types, such as endothelial cells, fibroblasts, cancer cells, and immune cells.

Webinar Outline:

Chemotaxis Assay webinar will focus on the following aspects:

  • Experimental workflow: from sample preparation and video microscopy to image analysis and data interpretation
  • Main output parameters, especially FMI (Forward Migration Index)
  • Various application examples
