Our customer is the sole operator of the mass transit rail network in Hong Kong. They had previously worked with DKSH to successfully deploy a Parking Guidance System for their residential project in Tseung Kwan O.

Elevating Convenience and Resilience in Hong Kong

Challenge

The original construction plan for the shopping complex's parking lot did not include the installation of a large-scale signage board. When our customer decided to add the feature midway through the project, they encountered challenges in obtaining approvals from multiple units and ensuring strict adherence to safety standards is practiced.

Once we receive the approval, we must meet the client’s strict project deadlines while adhering to the safety standards for the installation of the digital signage.

Approach

Within a short timeframe, our team were able to prepare and submit the required documents in accordance with the stringent requirements and installed the large-scale signage board with real-time information panel at the bottom.

Using the camera with sensing system, the signage provides up-to-date information for drivers navigating the surrounding area with its extensive transportation network. We also placed waterproof boxes that are proven to withstand extreme weather conditions like heavy rainstorms and powerful typhoon.

We aligned the parking lot development with smart mobility to keep up with the advancements of smart cities, ensuring the parking system has scalability that allows for future upgrades and maintenance based on its foundation.

Result

Our outdoor carpark signage greatly benefits the convenience of the public, considering the strategic location of this new shopping complex. It helps visitors to easily navigate and locate available parking spaces.

The car search kiosks have also saved visitor’s time and minimized frustration that are often associated with searching for parking in busy areas.

The parking guidance system and super-sized signage board have not only exceeded expectations but also set a new standard in convenience and resilience within our car park solutions. Through this innovative technology, we continue to meet the evolving needs of People’s Lives in Hong Kong.
