Southeast Asia is paying more attention to space exploration as markets like Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines are developing space programs tailored to their unique geographical and economic needs.
Vietnam too is not to be left behind. Since the establishment of the Vietnam National Space Center in 2011, it has been promoting sustainable development via space technology by launching earth observation satellites to enhance environmental monitoring and urban planning capabilities in the market.
In helping to boost the awareness of space technology among students, DKSH Vietnam collaborated with the People's Committee of District 11 in Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City Television to organize the inspirational “Tomorrow Space” program.
Tomorrow Space is a grassroots-focused non-profit science and technology space for children and teenagers to explore the space frontier. Its main sections include the Connection Station, Thinking Activation, Studio and Working Space 4.0, along with different experiential activities organized weekly with the help of experts and engineers in the fields of education, science, and technology.
The workshop was dedicated to fostering scientific potential among children through interactive hands-on learning. The children had the opportunity to experience using cutting-edge equipment such as rotary evaporators and digital microscopes.
Over the next three years, Tomorrow Space aims to bring science and technology experiences to more than 3.000 children in Vietnam with the aim to nurture, inspire, and to guide them to become Vietnam’s future scientists and space specialists.
At DKSH, our purpose is to enrich people’s lives. We do so by providing reliable access to high-quality and responsible products and services, creating sustainable value for our partners, and contributing to raising the quality of life in the communities we operate in by generating jobs, perspectives, and opportunities for people’s development and growth.
