Cataracts can lead to blindness, significantly impacting daily activities and independence. On World Sight Day, the DKSH Healthcare Business Unit is marking its Patient Purpose Day 2024 with a series of impactful initiatives dedicated to elder care across our markets, including health screenings, educational workshops, and donation drives, aiming to meet the aging population's needs and promote healthy aging through community involvement and partnerships. In Cambodia, we reaffirm our dedication to enriching the lives of our patients, especially the elderly, by providing cataract surgery to restore vision, allowing patients to regain their ability to see clearly and participate fully in life. Together, we can create a world where everyone can access the healthcare they need and deserve.

H.E. Prof Lou Lykheang, Director of Preah Ang Duong Hospital, said: “DKSH Cambodia is the leading healthcare company in the market, always providing high-quality medicines, instruments, and diagnostics. We appreciate and thank DKSH Cambodia for making today's effort. This sponsorship helped some of our economically disadvantaged eye patients get better health and life.".

Philip Wray, Vice President of Business Unit Healthcare at DKSH Cambodia, commented: “The Patient Purpose Day program is our commitment to improving the health and well-being of our patients. It reflects our sustainability mission of making a positive local impact by providing Healthcare for All. Today, we are proud to be part of this collective effort that has significantly improved the lives of low-income Cambodian cataract patients, reduced their health burden, and enhanced their overall well-being. We sincerely thank Preah Ang Duong Hospital and all contributors for their unwavering support in this noble cause.”.
