The DVPlus Viscometer is AMETEK Brookfield's latest entry-level viscometer with an advanced user interface and best-in-class features. Our newest model is suitable for all applications where accurate viscosity measurements are needed. The easy-to-use, stand-alone interface makes DVPlus the perfect Viscometer for busy labs.

With the DVPlus Viscometer, you get it all: high accuracy, fast response time, and repeatable results.

Each of our standard Viscometers is supplied with an internal spring used to calculate the viscosity of a material. These springs have different measuring capabilities:

  • LV is for low viscosity materials and can measure the thinnest materials. Typical examples include inks, oils, and solvents.
  • RV is for medium viscosity materials than those measured with an LV torque. Typical examples include creams, food, and paints.
  • HA is for higher viscosity materials than those measured with an RV torque. Typical examples include gels, chocolate and epoxies.
  • HB is for even higher viscosity materials than those measured with an HA torque spring. Typical examples include asphalt, caulking compounds, and molasses.

Note: Additional special springs are also available upon request.

 

DVNext Rheometer with Gel Timer Functionality

DVNext Rheometer with Gel Timer Functionality

The DVNext Rheometer with Gel Timer Functionality measures gel time using unique magnetic coupling that attaches the glass rod to instrument. When gel time is reached, display shows both gel time and equivalent viscosity value. The glass rod is quickly and easily detached from instrument. Integrated temperature probe provides peak exotherm data if needed. The DVNext can be ordered with glass measurement rod, compression-fit glass rod adapter, lab stand with adjustable stop for quickly positioning glass rod at proper immersion depth in test sample, and temperature probe. Test method can be run either manually or using program stored in instrument memory.

The original Brookfield Dial Reading Viscometer has been the lab standard used around the world since 1934. Current units have been been improved with a multi-speed electronic drive and ergonomically designed speed control knob so selection of any one of the 10 pre-set speeds (8 speeds on LVT models) is quick and easy.

The direct-drive design results in extremely quiet operation and greater versatility while the universal power supply facilitates the use of worldwide power sources.

The KU-3 Viscometer displays, Krebs units, gram units and centipoise for paints, coatings and inks.

Brookfield offers a completely digital calculating Krebs Unit Instrument with all the reliability you'd expect in Brookfield instrumentation...now with relative centipoise display.

Why the KU-3? This instrument is used widely for making viscosity measurements on paints/coatings in accordance with ASTM D562.

Gel Timer DV2T Instrument

The most popular Brookfield viscometer now measures gel time using unique magnetic coupling that attaches the glass rod to instrument. When gel time is reached, display shows both gel time and equivalent viscosity value. Glass rod is quickly and easily detached from instrument.  Integrated temperature probe provides peak exotherm data if needed.

Gel Timer DV2T comes with glass measurement rod, compression-fit glass rod adapter, lab stand with adjustable stop for quickly positioning glass rod at proper immersion depth in test sample, and temperature probe.Test method can be run either manually or using program stored in instrument memory.Accuracy and reliability of Gel Timer DV2T make this instrument the preferred choice in QC for measuring gel coats, resins, and potting compounds.Viscosity data generated during the test may also prove helpful for complete characterization of material flow behavior.
