Bringing a new drive to the Thai capital

The motoring department was an important sector of business for Diethelm Bangkok. During its peak in the early 1950s, it recorded almost one-third of the Bangkok office’s annual sales.

True to our role in facilitating globalization, in a modern showroom on Luang Road, we sold automobiles and trucks from brands like Austin from the United Kingdom and Chrysler from the United States. The business line was so successful that practically all taxis circulating in the Thai capital at that time were Austin cars.
