DKSH Korea Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) complies with the Personal Information Protection Act, the Fair Recruitment Act, and related laws to protect and lawfully process the personal information of applicants. Accordingly, the Company intends to collect and use applicants’ personal information as part of the recruitment process. Please review the details below and indicate your consent.
1. Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information
The company collects and uses personal information for the purposes of conducting the recruitment process, evaluating applicants, verifying and contacting applicants, managing recruitment-related documents and records, and providing future job opportunities.
2. Categories of Personal Information Collected
1) Required Information
- Basic Information: Name, date of birth, gender, contact details (phone number, email), address
- Academic and Career Information: Educational background, job experience, certifications, and language proficiency
- Recruitment Process Information: Resume, other documents provided by the applicant
2) Optional Information (Provided at Applicant’s Discretion)
- Expected salary, reason for applying, and any additional information relevant to the recruitment process
- ※ Providing optional information does not affect the recruitment outcome.
3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information
1) After the Completion of the Recruitment Process
- Personal information of unsuccessful applicants will be retained for a period set by the Company (14 to 180 days) from the final hiring decision date.
- If the applicant does not request the return of their documents within this period, the personal information will be deleted within 5 days after the retention period expires.
- However, if an applicant requests the deletion of their personal information before the end of the retention period, it will be deleted immediately.
2) Retention for Future Job Opportunities (With Applicant’s Consent)
- If the applicant provides separate consent, the Company may retain the applicant’s personal information for future job opportunities.
- The maximum retention period is 2 years, and during this period, the applicant may be considered for future job openings.
- Once the retention period ends or if the applicant requests deletion, the personal information will be immediately and securely deleted.
- Applicable Laws: Personal Information Protection Act, Articles 15 and 21
4. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing
To ensure a smooth recruitment process, the Company may outsource the processing of personal information to external organizations.
- Outsourced Companies: Recruitment system providers, HR solution providers, etc.
- Purpose of Outsourcing: Recruitment system operation, recruitment-related data management
5. Transfer of Personal Information Overseas
As a global company, DKSH may transfer applicants’ personal information overseas for recruitment system management and data processing.
- Countries and Organizations Involved: Malaysia, DKSH Group Data Center
- Purpose of Transfer: Operation and support of the global recruitment system
- Personal Information Transferred: Name, email, education, job experience, etc.
- Retention and Use Period: The personal information will be retained for up to 180 days after the completion of the recruitment process and will be securely deleted without delay in accordance with legal requirements. However, if the candidate consents, the information may be retained for up to 2 years for future job opportunities. Upon the expiration of the retention period or at the candidate's request, the information will be immediately and securely deleted.
6. Right to Refuse Consent and Possible Disadvantages
Applicants have the right to refuse consent to the collection and use of their personal information. However, if an applicant refuses to provide the required information, it may not be possible to proceed with the recruitment process.
