Two innovative instruments for TOC analysis, uniTOC online and uniTOC lab, combine high-end analytical components certified to DIN EN 1484. The graphical control with the 10” touchscreen display and the data management of the control and analysis software meet all international standards for the determination of TOC.

The instruments are designed for monitoring process water in areas such as pharmaceutical, microelectronics or chemical applications, as well as the production of potable water or ultrapure water. With the uniTOC analysers, membraPure provides the perfect instruments to meet the demands of the existing regulations.

uniTOC Instruments – Principle of Operation

Both instruments use the UV/persulfate oxidation procedure followed by NDIR measurement. Depending on the sample matrix, the oxidation process can even be performed reagent-free. uniTOC online and uniTOC lab both guarantee high reproducibility of results as well as high sensitivity.

Measuring times are short and the continuous self-cleaning of the reactor avoids any cross-contamination. Since the quality of the sparging gas can be low, the use of pressurised air saves money and is optionally available. The non-dispersive infrared detector (NDIR) system is absolutely selective to carbon dioxide and therefore independent of the sample matrix. These measurements are independent of conductivity and sample temperature.

uniTOC System Calibration

TOC determination requires calibration, which is completely automated. uniTOC lab works with multipoint calibration and autosampler with auto dilution to measure higher concentrations of TOC. The software also facilitates automated system suitability tests (SST).

System Suitability Test (SST)

The verification of the TOC measurements according to the requirements of USP and Ph.Eur is realised by the frequent performance of system suitability tests. The software in the uniTOC ensures the automatic procedure and data evaluation of the test.

Monitoring Low or High TOC Concentrations

uniTOC online is made for pure and ultrapure water monitoring in industrial and pharmaceutical applications. The measuring range is from 3-5,000ppb and optionally up to 20,000ppb. The display shows the results of online measurements of ultrapure water even at low TOC concentrations. With uniTOC lab you will be able to measure between 15 and 40,000 ppb.
