The Next Innovator, a part of DKSH’s “Tomorrow Space” project, is the first ever competition designed to encourage the Vietnamese Alpha generation to think and act for sustainability with science and technology, while nurturing them to be the inspiration for others to do similar.
At DKSH, we believe that science and technology are powerful tools to enrich people’s lives and contribute to the sustainable development of our communities. That is why we join hands with local authorities and partners in the “Tomorrow Space” project to lay the foundation and inspire our future innovators from a young age for greater impacts. By providing our expertise and resources, DKSH enriches the next generation with access to scientific and technological knowledge and equipment, thereby igniting their innovative minds toward a more sustainable world.
The Next Innovator contest attracted the participations of more than 500 teachers and young students at the age of 9 to 14. The participants were formed into group of five and were tasked to overcome different challenges at the Tomorrow Camp as part of the preliminary round on March 30, 2024. These challenges allowed the children to gain different scientific facts about sustainability and opportunity to perform certain experiments in a scientific laboratory environment to create an environment- friendly products for real life usage. The groups passed the preliminary round had a chance to pitch their innovative idea that use science and technology knowledge to solve a certain environmental challenge or health concern in a video format and call for voting to be in top 20.
The top 20 will have a chance to further visit international and local manufacturers and companies who are live examples of doing business with sustainability mindset. They also have chances to meet with business leaders, scientists and researchers for more inspiration and quality coaching.
The top 20 will also be the first 100 members of the Tomorrow Club to continue nurturing their passion for science and being the true inspiration for others at Tomorrow Space, a free-to-join innovative hub equipped with cutting-edge technology and scientific workshops, mainly and proudly sponsored by DKSH.
