Bangkok, Thailand, July 3, 2024 DKSH Thailand, a leader in market expansion services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Thammasat University Hospital, renowned for its rapid development and exceptional efficiency in Thailand. This partnership aims to launch Home Pulse, homecare services that will enhance operational efficiency, embrace digital technologies, and ensure sustainable growth, ultimately benefiting patients in various aspects.

Home Pulse introduces quality healthcare services delivered conveniently to patients’ homes. The collaboration with Thammasat University Hospital will focus on providing at-home specimen (blood and urine) collection services, reducing the time patients and caregivers spend at the hospital before appointments requiring test results.

Assoc Prof. Dr. Dilok Piyayotai, Hospital Director, Thammasat University remarked that this partnership marks a significant step toward achieving holistic healthcare, enhancing both the quality of care and patient convenience. Over the past 40 years, Thammasat University Hospital, has evolved from a secondary care facility to a leading tertiary-level hospital, offering services and capabilities on par with international standards and playing a crucial role in addressing Thailand’s healthcare challenges.

“We have seen significant growth and development in our infrastructure. Known for our rapid development and exceptional efficiency, we provide Thai people with high-level medical services. This MOU symbolizes a partnership that facilitates healthcare digitization. By combining DKSH Thailand’s technological expertise with our medical proficiency, we aim to enhance patient convenience and care,” Assoc Prof. Dr. Dilok Piyayotai added.

Patrik Grande, Vice President, Business Unit Healthcare, DKSH Thailand, stated at signing ceremony: “This partnership with Thammasat University Hospital is a milestone in our commitment to being the partner of choice, driving growth, and enriching people’s lives. Home Pulse, we enable patients and caregivers to schedule appointments from the comfort of their homes. Initially, the services will cover areas within a 60-kilometer radius of the hospital, with plans for nationwide expansion. The partnership will save patients and caregivers valuable time, reduce stress, and ease hospital congestion, ultimately enhancing the overall patient experience and revolutionize healthcare delivery.”

This initiative aligns with the national agenda[1] to meet present and future healthcare needs, allowing people to access healthcare services near their homes without enduring overcrowded hospitals or long waits. Consequently, hospital overcrowding will be reduced, healthcare providers will have more time for patients with complex care needs, and hidden costs such as transportation expenses, loss of daily income, and waiting times will be minimized.

This collaboration will foster a sustainable, efficient, and innovative healthcare industry that meets the needs of our growing and rapidly transforming society, delivering a better healthcare experience for patients and reinventing the way care is provided.
