On-demand webinar: Powder research and manufacturing - a focus on material characterization and analysis January 01, 2024-February 29, 2024

Powder characterization and analysis

Characterizing powders for their key quality attributes such as particle size, shape, degree of powder agglomeration and purity is a common requirement for the development and quality control of many products.

Variations in powder performance greatly affect the material properties and quality of final product. It is therefore critical to assess key powder characteristics to help end users optimize process parameters for a given powder specification and achieve the desired physical properties.

What you will learn in this webinar:

  • Characterization techniques, such as laser diffraction, for powder research and manufacturing
  • *New product launch* Dynamic imaging accessory that generates quantitative data on particle shape alongside particle size distribution from laser diffraction
  • Elemental analysis (C/S, O/N and H) of metallic powders for additive manufacturing
