The analytical gas chromatography (GC) world is moving towards shorter analysis time to save on time and resources. In any form of gas chromatography, the column dimension, heating rate and analysis time are key to the way chromatographers work.

In conventional GC, analysis time usually ranges from 20 - 90 minutes on a 15 - 60m column length with internal diameter up to 0.53 mm with variable column film thickness. Fast GC is an improvement on this using shorter columns with smaller diameter - 10m, 0.05mm. However, decreasing analysis time must not compromise separation resolution. This webinar discusses the Principles of Fast GC to increase GC speed without sacrificing resolution for any application in any industry. It includes in depth theoretical discussion and practical considerations for all chromatographers.

Dr. Jet Yu
PhD at National University of Singapore - Analytical Chemistry

Dr. Jet Yu obtained his Ph.D degree, majored in analytical chemistry, from National University of Singapore in 2007. He has published couple of peer reviewed papers specialized in chromatography methods development. After graduation, Dr. Yu joined Johnson&Johnson Asia Pacific as senior scientist for the discovery of skin care products and has filed two proprietary patents as key inventor.

Dr. Jet Yu joined Techcomp Singapore in 2013 as product manager, overseeing analytical instrument products in the region. Currently, he is the regional manager for the sales and business development of Scion chromatography products in ASEAN and South of Asia.
