Enriching People’s Lives With Better Vaccine Access in Thailand

In recent years, Thailand has significantly strengthened its National Regulatory Authority (NRA) for vaccines to address growing domestic demands, particularly for vaccines administered to children. This effort has been crucial in managing public health challenges, such as health crises and epidemics, and ensuring a robust immunization system.

These developments align with Thailand's commitment to the World Vaccine Action Plan, which aims to reduce morbidity and mortality from vaccine-preventable diseases by 2030. As part of this framework, the country has expanded vaccine production, distribution, and accessibility, focusing on increasing immunization rates, and reaching underserved populations.

Thailand’s immunization program covers a wide range of vaccines, including those for hepatitis B, measles, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, and more recently, COVID-19. The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine, essential in preventing cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases, has also gained prominence as part of efforts to improve women's health.

To further enhance vaccine access, DKSH Business Unit Healthcare has partnered with MSD (Thailand) Ltd. This collaboration focuses on expanding market coverage for MSD’s vaccines, with a particular emphasis on human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines.

Under this partnership, DKSH provides comprehensive Contract Sales Organization (CSO) services and patient-centered solutions. These initiatives aim to ensure easier access to the HPV vaccine through a broad network of hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers across Thailand.

This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to addressing critical public health needs in Thailand. By ensuring innovative healthcare solutions reach those who need them most, we are contributing to a healthier future for Thai communities and supporting the nation’s broader goal of achieving equitable vaccine coverage.

At DKSH, our purpose is to enrich people’s lives. We do so by providing reliable access to high-quality and responsible products and services, creating sustainable value for our partners, and contributing to raising the quality of life in the communities we operate in by generating jobs, perspectives, and opportunities for people’s development and growth.
