Enriching Children’s Lives By Sharing Festive Spirit Articles

The survey found that almost 80 percent did not have reference books to help them complete their school assignments and 60 percent of underprivileged students in rural areas had 10 or fewer extracurricular books at home.

Driven to solve this predicament in Taiwan, DKSH has been collaborating with various partners to support the education and development of underprivileged children. For 12 consecutive years, we have organized numerous CSR programs in Taiwan, particularly during the year-end festive season.

We recently partnered with the Chinese Christian Relief Association to support its After-School Tutoring Program. We made nearly 400 heartwarming presents that were gift-wrapped in handmade shoeboxes that were distributed to 15 after-school program centers allocated in various locations in Taiwan.

The activity saw employees representing all four Business Units, offices, and distribution centers stepping up to contribute their efforts and time. From event organization, promotion, communication, gifts preparation, wrapping, shipping management, and delivery, these collective efforts exemplify our commitment to corporate social responsibility and highlight the significant impact on the communities we serve.

The After-School Tutoring Program provides a monthly stipend for each elementary school student and free-of-charge after-school tutoring services. The tutors teach the children good moral values and provide life skills guidance to the family. Since 2004, more than 65,000 disadvantaged students have benefited from the program conducted at more than 240 community-based service centers.
