Selangor, Malaysia, September 13, 2017 – DKSH Business Unit Technology, the leading Market Expansion Services provider for technology companies seeking to grow their business in Asia, together with PANalytical, the world’s leading supplier of analytical X-ray instrumentation, software and expertise, recently launched the PANalytical Epsilon 1 energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) spectrometer for small spot analysis in Cambodia, Philippines, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

This new member of the Epsilon 1 family has been designed for small spot analysis, and is the most powerful benchtop spectrometer in its class. It provides a compact and cost-effective ‘out-of-the-box’ solution, ready for the analysis of small objects or small inclusions in rocks, electronic appliances, toys, jewelry or finished products.

The performance of the spectrometer meets the standard test methods required by different directives and regulations in various industry markets, like RoHS-2, WEEE and ELV for electronics and CPSIA for consumer goods. The Epsilon 1 is specifically designed to analyze a wide range of samples in accordance to these regulations, and meets the performance required by international test methods like ASTM F2617 for RoHS-2.

With over 15 years of strategic partnership, DKSH has been providing PANalytical with services ranging from sales and marketing, research and analysis, distribution, logistics and even after-sales services, from X-ray diffraction (XRD) such as Empyrean, to X-ray fluorescence (XRF) such as the Epsilon and Zetium range. DKSH will leverage its extensive global network with local channels including private and government owned research and development laboratories, commercial testing laboratories, manufacturers and academic institutions to grow the business of PANalytical in the South-East Asian market.

“The combination of hardware and software in the Epsilon 1 for small spot analysis provides you with flexible and robust spot-on elemental analysis”, according to Dr. Lieven Kempenaers, benchtop product manager at Malvern PANalytical.

Marco Farina, General Manager, Business Line Scientific Instrumentation, DKSH Technology, added, “With our unrivaled competence in X-ray analysis as well our wide market access of industrial laboratories and academic institutions, DKSH looks forward to introducing PANalytical Epsilon 1 Meso to the local customers.”
