Advanced UPS systems power up Indonesia’s online computer-based test systems

Challenge

The Ministry was required to work with a business partner that offered a reliable network of UPS solutions and a strong level of after-sales service in order to roll out its online computer-based test to the rest of the market.

Approach

To meet the usage and storage demand, we proposed Vertiv’s UPS PSA600-ID, a feature-rich reliable line-interactive UPS designed for desktop computer workstations and stand-alone IT equipment. Equipped with a 360-storage watt capacity, it has an automatic voltage regulator that allows flexibility and reliability for PCs and other sensitive electronic equipment.

Designed with simple controls for easy operation, its consistent power supply and extended stand-by capacity provides more than enough time to save any work-in-progress before shutting down the system.

We also offered our after-sales services’ assurance, which includes DKSH’s one-on-one guarantee program. The one-on-one guarantee program is a warranty assurance to return a faulty UPS and receive a replacement for free. Customers can easily claim through an online system.

Result

We successfully supplied several thousand units, which provided access for students across many regions in Indonesia. Since its nationwide implementation, the national online computer-based test systems have been operating successfully with no major technical concerns arising from its functionality and data storage capability.

From the initial testing and deployment, there has been a tangible increase in the number of Indonesian students who have taken and passed their final exams using the online systems. The Ministry has also recorded increased interest in ICT literacy among students nationwide. As a result, the computer-based exams are continuing to be applied and implemented.
