Hyundai’s Genesis brand has rapidly emerged as a global luxury powerhouse, captivating customers with its impeccable design, exceptional performance, and unwavering commitment to quality. Along with this growth, the increasing demand for premium vehicles presented a new challenge: the need to rapidly expand the production capacity of its advanced all-wheel-drive systems, which rely on high-precision PTUs.

To address this, Hyundai embarked on a significant expansion project for its PTU production in the latter half of 2023. However, simply expanding production was not enough. Maintaining Genesis’s brand value required a sharp focus on both exceptional quality and technical precision. Hyundai needed to find optimal production solutions that could support global growth while upholding the highest standards of performance and quality.

To meet the demands of its PTU production expansion, Hyundai sought cutting-edge machinery capable of delivering both high efficiency and uncompromising quality. After a highly competitive bidding process that included a major U.S. competitor, Hyundai selected Klingelnberg, a global leader in gear manufacturing solutions, as its trusted partner.

Hyundai’s decision was driven by its positive experience with Klingelnberg’s equipment, known for outstanding performance and reliability. The order included 12 state-of-the-art machines covering cutting, lapping, and testing equipment, all designed to ensure precision at every stage of production. These machines are currently being installed and are expected to play a pivotal role in maintaining Genesis’s exacting standards while supporting increased production capacity.
