Mature oncology product secures space to grow in Taiwan

Challenge

The biggest challenge for our client was that in Taiwan, chronic myelogenous leukemia treatment has for many years been dominated by a European multinational company with both first and second line medication for oncology patients.

Furthermore, the competitor has good and close relationships with many key opinion leaders and media organizations in the country. That makes it hard for competitive products to gain or regain attention.

Approach

This is where we came in. Using our in-depth knowledge of the industry, we reached out to our strong network of healthcare providers across Taiwan.

We helped our client to quickly expand its existing coverage of medical centers, regional hospitals and area hospitals.

We also supported our client in brand advocacy and to strengthen the product’s share of voice in the market.

Result

Because of our collaboration, the brand attained triple-digit sales growth over a two-year period and hospital coverage for the product increased by almost two-fold.

Moreover, the number of patients treated with the client’s products went up by nearly 300 percent.
